Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TrustedCitation website (trustedcitation.com) and services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our website or services.
Services
TrustedCitation provides content review, citation-readiness assessment, and content production services.
We may offer a complimentary Content Authority Review based on a URL you submit through our website. This review is provided at our discretion and does not obligate either party to enter into a paid engagement.
For paid engagements, scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees will be agreed upon in writing before work begins. Payments are processed through Stripe in the currency specified at the time of engagement.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services with reasonable notice.
Refunds
Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you believe a deliverable does not meet the agreed scope, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery so the concern can be reviewed and addressed.
Your Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Provide timely access to content, URLs, and materials required for service delivery
- Review and approve deliverables within agreed timeframes
- Use our services in compliance with all applicable laws
Intellectual Property
Content we create
Upon full payment, you own the rights to all content deliverables created for you. Until full payment is received, all deliverables remain the intellectual property of TrustedCitation.
Our system and methods
The TrustedCitation system, methodologies, analysis frameworks, and processes remain the exclusive intellectual property of TrustedCitation. No engagement grants rights to our proprietary systems, tools, or methods.
Your content
You retain ownership of any content or materials you provide. By submitting content for review or analysis, you grant TrustedCitation a limited, non-exclusive license to access and analyze that content solely to deliver the agreed services.
Confidentiality
All content, data, and business information you share with TrustedCitation is treated as confidential. We do not disclose this information to third parties without written consent, except where required by law or necessary to deliver services through trusted third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer
Our services are provided on an “as is” basis. While we apply structured standards and professional judgment, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, including AI citation placement, search rankings, traffic increases, or revenue results. AI platforms control their own systems and citation behavior, which may change at any time. Our work is intended to improve citation eligibility based on current standards.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustedCitation shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrustedCitation from claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the services, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable laws.
Termination
Either party may terminate a paid engagement with written notice. You are responsible for payment for all work completed up to the termination date. Provisions related to intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary. All remaining provisions remain in effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TrustedCitation regarding use of the website and services.
